Holidays with the American Veterans Mission and Our Local Community Partners

The American Veterans Mission (AVM) is teaming up with local community partners to support military families during the upcoming Operation Homefront Holiday Meals for Military Families, scheduled for December 7, 2024. This initiative aims to provide a warm holiday meal and essential groceries to active-duty military families and veterans in need, helping them celebrate the season without the added stress of food insecurity.

The collaboration between Operation Homefront, AVM, and local organizations ensures that these families receive not only a hearty meal but also the support of a compassionate network. The event will feature meal distribution, where families can gather and receive their holiday provisions, strengthening community bonds and showing appreciation for their service.

By supporting the Operation Homefront program, AVM and its partners continue to uphold their commitment to veterans and military families, ensuring they feel recognized, valued, and cared for during the holiday season.

Thanks to Nancy Sanchez and her daughter of Square Away Moving Company, Janie Freed of Girl Scouts of Central Texas, and Tetyana Quiles of Texas A&M University-Central Texas for their invaluable contributions. They have joined our president, Dr. Anthony Martinez, in conducting a site visit of the venue, which was vital in helping us plan and prepare for the smooth distribution of meals and groceries. Their expertise and support ensure that everything will be set up efficiently and safely for the families we aim to serve.

We look forward to seeing our volunteers there and appreciate your support in making this holiday season a little brighter for our military families!
